Project Profile

The project entailed developing a feature-rich backend database-driven control panel interface. Features included importing domain names in bulk, customizing branded domain sales shops, accepting payments, lead generation, content tools, SEO tools, social media integrations and much more.

The Challenge

The task at hand was to develop a robust Software-as-a-Service platform enabling users to create customized domain name sales shops and for-sale landers that operate efficiently and securely. With a growing number of domain listings and users, speed and security became primary concerns alongside functionality. It was crucial for the service to maintain optimal performance even as traffic and listings scaled up. Moreover, with a large volume of domains being resolved, the potential security threats multiplied significantly. These risks encompassed DDoS attacks and malicious attempts to breach the platform's defenses.

The Approach

The strategy involved constructing a scalable platform to ensure consistent performance and security as functionality and usage expanded. This encompassed customizing servers, implementing firewalls, and incorporating anti-spam and anti-bot measures. User settings were established to enable platform users to tailor their account performance based on their experience with the system. This included setting permission levels to reduce spam. Integrations comprised of form captchas, email verifications for submitted forms, monitoring for malicious bot activities, blocking such activities, and additional security measures.

Results

The outcome was a SaaS platform that maintained high performance levels and unwavering security even under heavy usage. Over time, the feature set expanded, culminating in the development of the most comprehensive platform tailored for serious domain name sellers. See our front-end website for this project.
